Marlee Dampeer and
Mary Kimble Price each hit their first collegiate home runs to power No. 4 Jones past Bishop State by 10-2 and 10-0 finals in the season-opener on Monday at Community Bank Park/Gwen Magee Field.
Jones combined to score 20 runs on 22 hits and Bobcat pitching allowed just one earned run with 12 strikeouts.
The Bobcats travel to Panama City, Fla., Feb. 6-7 for the PCB JUCO Softball Showdown at the Publix Sports Park.

Claire Andersen was 3-for-3 in the leadoff spot to lead five Bobcats with multiple hits and
Addy Shorter hit a walk-off, two-run single to win the opener in five.
Leading 2-1 after three, Jones plated four in each the fourth and fifth innings.
Breelyn Cain struck out four and allowed a run on two hits in four innings.

Dampeer and Price each hit two-run homers and the Bobcats plated six in the fourth to record another run-rule victory.
