EUNICE, La. – Kameira McDonald's only points of the night came on a wing three-pointer for LSU Eunice with 6.9 seconds left to lift the Bengals over Jones College, 86-83, Thursday night at the HPRE Center.

Jones, 11-2, erased a 16-point first-half deficit and tied the game at 83-83 on Sanyla Smith's layup with 25.2 ticks left before McDonald's go-ahead basket.

The Bobcats trailed by as many as 11 in a 50-point first quarter the Bengals led 30-20. The teams shot a combined 21 free throws in the opening quarter and the Bobcats committed nine turnovers.

Down a game-high 37-21 with 7:36 left in the second quarter, an 18-3 Bobcat run pulled Jones within 40-39.

LSUE, 12-6 overall, led 46-41 at the half.

Jakera Ducksworth's and-one on a half court pass from Zharia Leflore tied the game at 47 apiece before Lamarah Cleaves' block and ensuing layup made it 51-50 Jones.

Back-and-forth the next 15 minutes, LSUE pushed back out to a 76-66 lead in the fourth quarter.

Jones rallied again, this time with a 17-7 spurt, to tie the game with under 30 seconds left.

Behind a career-high 22 points from Ducksworth and 21 from Cleaves, Larissa Hubbard had 11 points and 19 rebounds, Smith added 10 points and six rebounds, Leflore nine points and Anna-Patrice Patterson seven points.

Jones shot a sizzling 55 percent for the game but was just 1-of-14 from three-point, turned it over a season-high 31 times and was 18-of-32 from the stripe.

Paulina Reichenauer netted a career-best 29 points to lead LSUE.
