Larissa Hubbard put the Bobcats on her back in the fourth quarter, scoring 15 of her team-high 17 points, to will Jones to a 64-57 win at Mississippi Delta Thursday night.
Jones improved to 14-3 overall, 3-1 in the MACCC while dropping MDCC to 6-7, 0-4 in conference play.
The Bobcats trailed by as many as 10 in the opening half and didn't take their first lead until Hubbard hit back-to-back 3s in the fourth quarter, 45-43, with 8:08 to play.
Jones outscored MDCC 25-14 in the final period, with Hubbard going 6-for-6. She had all 17 of her points in the second half.
Lamarah Cleaves posted her third double-double in four games with 12 points and 14 rebounds,
Zharia Leflore added 12 points and
Jakera Ducksworth eight points and seven rebounds.
Jones shot 38 percent for the game but was 6-for-12 from deep. The Trojans shot 49 percent from the floor and were 7-of-11 from beyond the arc.
E'kemi Johnson had 26 to lead all scorers.
Jones returns home on Tuesday *was Monday* to host East Mississippi at 5:30.
