ELLISVILLE – Jones rebounded from its first loss of the year Monday against Northwest with 3-1 wins at Southwest Wednesday and 3-0 at home Thursday against Bishop State.
The Bobcats are now 12-1 on the season.
At Southwest on Wednesday, it marked the first-ever meeting between the programs. The Bears will come to Jones on Monday night.
Jones took the opening set 25-13, pulling away from a 9-9 tie, before the Bears tied the match with a 25-22 set two win. JC would then rattle off the next two 25-14 and 25-22.
Harmony Jackson had a team-high 16 kills,
Chelsea Daffin 12,
Izzi Barnes 11 and
Jensi Doise nine.
Alanah Fitch had four of the Bobcats' 13 blocks and
Olivia Guth had a season-high 15 digs.
Needing five sets in Mobile just a week ago against Bishop State, Jones swept by 25-20, 25-20 and 25-16 finals.
Jones set the tone in the first set, hitting .522.
Jackson had 14 kills, Barnes 10 and Daffin seven.
Sara Akins had 11 of the team's 37 digs.
