TEMPE, Ariz. – The Jones College men's tennis team and five players have been recognized for academic achievement by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
The Bobcats were named an ITA All-Academic Team for the ninth straight year for a having a 3.45 grade point average.
Jones was one of four MACCC teams – along with Copiah-Lincoln, Northeast and Northwest – to be honored. Only 11 teams were honored from across the nation.
Members of the team to be named ITA Scholar-Athletes for having a GPA of 3.5 or higher were
Tom Garrett,
Ryan Roth,
Ethin McKinnon,
Reese Touchet and
Ridge Jones.
The Bobcats went 19-5 on the court, won their fourth straight MACCC title, second consecutive Region 23 crown and finished 12th in the NJCAA Division I Tournament.
