No. 13 Bobcats cruise past unranked Hinds, Holmes

ELLISVILLE – No. 13 Jones College cruised to a pair of MACCC wins in less than 24 hours.
 
The Bobcats did not lose a game in a 9-0 road rout of Holmes on Wednesday. Jones came back on Thursday at home to defeat Hinds, 9-0.
 
The Bobcats are now 10-0 overall and 6-0 in the MACCC.

The Bobcats were impressive again in defeating the Eagles.

Matias Ruiz (Argentina) and Tom Garrett (Australia) beat Miguel Beltran Lopez and Mauro Cupelli in No. 1 doubles, 8-1, and Diego Castellanos (Bolivia) and Alex Holder (Madison Central) shut out Tom Marie and Gavin Robles in No. 2 doubles, 8-0. Ridge Jones (Northeast Jones) and Reese Touchet (Madison Central) beat Tradarius Robinson and Jonatan Pena in No. 3 doubles, 8-0.
 
Ruiz downed Marie in No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-3 and Garrett defeated Cupelli in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-4. Castellanos beat Beltran Lopez in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-4 and Holder whipped Zachary Dumas in No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-0. Jones defeated Robles in No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-0 and Luke Westmoreland (Grenada) beat Robinson in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-1.

The Bobcats were never threatened in their win over the Bulldogs in Goodman.
 
Ruiz and Garrett won No. 1 doubles over Daniel Bheemashetty and Justice Worthy, 8-0. Holder and Ryan Roth (Resurrection Catholic) took No. 2 doubles over Parker McClendon and Jordan Leech, 8-0, and Ridge Jones and Touchet beat Colten Kimble and Gage Smith in No. 3 doubles, 9-0.
 
Ruiz blanked Worthy in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and Castellanos beat Bheemashetty in No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Jones defeated Leech in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and Holder downed McClendon in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Westmoreland beat Eli Lewis, 6-0, 6-0 in No. 5 singles and Brooks Newell (Oak Grove) defeated Kimble in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

Jones will visit No. 12 Mississippi Gulf Coast for a 2 p.m. match on Tuesday.
