BATON ROUGE, La. –
Anna-Patrice Patterson scored a career-high 20 points to pace four Bobcats in double figures in a 77-58 win at Baton Rouge Friday night at the Bear Den.
Jones improved to 2-0 on the year and dropped BRCC to 0-4.
Patterson scored eight first quarter points as Jones led 19-12 after one. The lead was nine at the half.
The Bobcats outscored BRCC 21-11 in the third quarter as
Lamarah Cleaves and
Larissa Hubbard started to heat up. Cleaves finished with 11 points and 10 boards and Hubbard had 19 points.
Zharia Leflore, who started the game 0-for-6, made six of her final nine shots to finish with 13 points. She added a team-high six assists and five rebounds.
Patterson would finish 10-for-14 from the floor and added nine rebounds.
Jones shot 49 percent from the floor against 40 percent shooting for BRCC. The Bobcats owned a 42-34 edge on the boards and forced 28 Bear turnovers.
Jones hosts Reid State for its home-opener Monday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m.
