EVERGREEN, Ala. – The
Trista Magee Whitman coaching debut was a 30-point rout of Reid State Monday night at the Evergreen Athletic Club, 74-44.
The Bobcats led 37-18 at half and by as many as 41 early in the fourth quarter.
Jakera Ducksworth had a team-high 14 in her Bobcat debut, followed by
Teeale Wells with 12,
Zharia Leflore with 12 and
Lamarah Cleaves and
Larissa Hubbard with nine each.
Hubbard added nine boards and Ducksworth and Cleaves eight each.
Julissa Claxton had a game-high eight assists.
The Bobcats shot 36 percent from the floor.
Eight players combined for 20 steals.
Jones travels to Baton Rouge on Friday for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
