JACKSON – Jones College's
Sherline King headlines the list of 2025 All-MACCC Women's Soccer selections by being voted the Player of the Year.
King and
Hope Welsh were named First Team All-MACCC and NJCAA All-Region 23 and
Bayleigh Driskell was an All-MACCC Honorable Mention.
King led Jones in goals (29), assists (eight) and points (66) this season and ends her career with a school record 54 goals.
She scored five goals in an 8-1 win over East Mississippi on Oct. 21, four goals in a 7-2 win over East Central on Oct. 3 and all four in the 4-3 win over No. 1 Johnson County (Kan.) Nov. 18 in the NJCAA Division II Tournament.
King, an Oklahoma State signee, was First Team All-MACCC, NJCAA All-Region 23, an NJCAA Division II First Team All-American and United Soccer Coaches All-American as a freshman.
Welsh, a sophomore defender from London, England, led a back line that allowed only 1.5 goals per game and posted six shutouts. Over two seasons, she started 25 of 28 matches played.
Driskell, a freshman defender from South Jones, started all 22 games.
Jones ended the year 14-6-2 with its fourth NJCAA national semifinal appearance since the spring of 2021.
