BOONEVILLE – Jones, competing in its first-ever MACCC volleyball match Monday night, defeated Northeast 3-1 at Bonner Arnold Coliseum.
The Bobcats improved to 11-2, 1-0 while Northeast dropped to 2-11, 0-1 MACCC.
Jones took the opening two sets 25-19, 25-22 to take a 2-0 lead, and after dropping the third set 21-25, closed out the fourth 25-19.
Alanah Fitch had a team-high 11 kills against one error with
LeAnn Lambert and
Harmony Jackson adding eight kills apiece.
Emily Boudreaux had 15 digs to lead the Cats.
Sara Akins had four aces and
Hailey Duque three.
Northeast was led by Avery Thomas and Irby Norris with 14 kills each.
Jones travels to Northwest (12-6, 1-0) on Wednesday for a 6 o'clock first serve.
