MERIDIAN – No.11 Jones College improved to 3-0 with a 6-0 decision over Bevill State here Saturday at the Northeast Park Tennis Center.
 
In No. 1 doubles, Ansley Tomkins (Northwest Rankin) and Guadalupe Tocci (Argentina) beat Zoe Smith and Carly Black, 8-0, and Annabelle Simmons (Lamar School) and Annalyn Housley (Nettleton) defeated Baylee Bush and Gracie Slate by an 8-2 final.
 
Housley blanked Smith in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and Maggie Savell (Park Place Christian) defeated Black in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-1. In No. 3 singles, Tomkins beat Bush 6-4, 6-3 and in No. 4 singles, Simmons shut out Slate, 6-0, 6-0.
 
Bevill State only had four players.
