ELLISVILLE – Jones volleyball took care of business in just over an hour Wednesday night, topping Northeast 3-0 (25-13, 25-7, 25-10) to sweep the season series.
The Bobcats improved to 16-5, 4-2 with a fourth straight win while NEMCC dropped to 3-15, 1-5 MACCC.
Jones registered double digit kills in each set, 16 of them in the first. The Bobcats hit .410 and held the Tigers to -.014.
Harmony Jackson led the way with 18 kills, followed by
Ainslee Copeland with 10 and
Mamie Fromdahl with five. Fromdahl added 32 assists.
Adelaide Egner had four of Jones' 12 aces.
Emily Boudreaux had a doezn digs, Egner eight and
Sara Akins seven.
Jones trailed 4-1 in the final set but would score 24 of the next 30 points to close out the win.
The Bobcats will compete in the Snead State Invitational Tournament Oct. 11-12 in Boaz, Alabama.
