Box Score FULTON – In a matchup of two teams fighting for sole possession of first place in the MACCC standings Monday night, the host Itawamba Indians defeated Jones 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-19) to sweep the season series.
Jones led 2-0 in Ellisville back on Oct. 2 before falling in that match 3-2.
Itawamba improved to 18-9, 7-2 in conference play and dropped the Bobcats to 21-7, 6-3 in the MACCC.
Jones was held to a season-low 21 kills and hit just .140 for the match.

Alanah Fitch had six and four kills to lead JC.

Hailey Duque and
Annie Woolbright had seven digs apiece.
Mamie Fromdahl added 16 assists, four digs and three kills.
ICC was led by a dozen kills from Lexi Pendleton, 11 from Bree Lyons and 10 from Michael Ann East. The Indians hit .243 as a team.
The Bobcats head to Selma, Alabama, Tuesday night for a 5 o'clock first serve against Wallace State-Selma.
