LJ Hackman scored 19 of his career-high 22 points in the first half and Dimp and
Ky Pernell added double-doubles to help Jones dart past Gulf Coast, 87-59, for a ninth straight win.
Jones improved to 17-3, 4-0 in the MACCC and has won 16 of 18 over MGCCC. The Bulldogs dropped to 10-6, 2-2.
Tied at 29 apiece with 8:34 to play in the opening half, Jones ended the period on a 22-3 run to lead by 19 at the break.
Jones shot a sizzling 59 percent, with Hackman going 8-for-9 from the floor and the Bobcats as a team finishing 8-of-13 from downtown.
The Bobcats didn't let up in the second half, stretching the lead to as many as 31, and locking down on defense.
MGCCC shot 28 percent in the period, including 0-for-11 from three-point range.
Four Bobcats finished in double figures, led by Hackman's 22, 19 points and 11 boards from
Dimp Pernell, 16 points and 11 from Ky and 10 off the bench from
Malik Franklin in 10 minutes.
Kylan Howze had six points, six rebounds and five blocks to give him 60 on the year.
Jones travels to Northwest Thursday night for a 7:30 p.m. tip at Howard Gymnasium.
