ELLISVILLE – Jones College recorded its second consecutive sweep with a pair of wins here Friday at Community Bank Park.
Jones pounded out 23 hits in a 19-9 victory over Baton Rouge and followed that up with a 9-3 decision over Illinois Central.
Jones (7-4) will travel to Baton Rouge for a noon doubleheader on Sunday before returning home to meet Gulf Coast and Pearl River on March 1.

The Bobcats fell behind 3-0 and were down 6-3 entering the bottom of the fourth inning.
But Jones took control with four runs each in the fourth and fifth and ended the game with a six-run bottom of the seventh.
There were several hitting heroes for the Bobcats.
Leadoff batter
Peyton Bell (Mobile, Alabama) had three singles and drove in five runs. Two-hole hitter
Tristan Pearson (Biloxi) had four singles, four RBIs and scored three runs.
Gatlin Sanders (Madison Central) had four singles and cleanup batter
Beau Bryans (Madison Central) had three singles, a double and four RBIs.
Luke Lycette (Northwest Rankin) had two doubles with
Chase Honeycutt (DeSoto Central) getting a double and a single and scoring three runs.
Marquette Gibson (D'Iberville) added two singles.
Starter
Blake Summerlin (Northwest Rankin) went 6.0 innings and got the win to improve to 2-0. He allowed seven runs (five earned), eight hits, walked one and struck out six.
Connor Brooks (Northwest Rankin) pitched the final inning, allowed two runs, two hits, walked one and struck out one.
Ethan Menard homered, singled twice and had three RBIs for BRCC. Thomas Marsala also homered for the Bears.
Starter Slade Zeppuhar went 4.0 innings and got the loss. He allowed seven runs, 12 hits, walked none and struck out two.
BRCC also dropped an 8-1 decision to Illinois Central to fall to 7-13.

Leading 3-1, the Bobcats put the game away with a six-run, fourth inning.
A massive leadoff home run by
Hays Carley (Columbia Academy) and a two-run single by Pearson were the big hits of the inning.
Starter
Eli Walker (Gulfport) got the win to up his record to 1-0. He pitched 4.0 innings, allowed one run, four hits, three walks and struck out four.
Kace Matthews (West Jones) pitched a perfect fifth inning. Bryans pitched an inning, allowed two runs, one hits, walked two and struck out two.
Drew Druckenmiller (Mobile, Alabama) tossed an inning and notched a strikeout.
Carley led the offense with a home run and a single. Pearson, Gibson and Lycette added singles.
Luke Doty had a double and two RBIs for the Cougars.
Starter Gage Burdick went 2.0 innings and was charged with the loss. He gave up three runs (one earned), one hit, walked five and struck out four.
ICC (2-3) visits Pearl River on Saturday and Gulf Coast on Sunday.
