BATON ROUGE, La. – Jones held off a late surge by Baton Rouge to win the opening game of a twinbill, 8-6, and then exploded for eight runs in the sixth inning of game two for a 10-7 victory to sweep the Bears.
The Bobcats won all three games of a season series and improved to 9-4 with a sixth consecutive win. BRCC fell to 7-15.
Jones will host another tripleheader at The Bank on Wednesday against in-conference rivals MGCCC and No. 1 Pearl River.

A solid first start for Hinds transfer
Tate Duncan on the mound and three-run third put the Bobcats ahead for good in the opening game of the day.
Leading 3-2 in the third,
Chase Honeycutt's sac fly extended the lead by a run and
Hays Carley smacked a two-run double to make it 5-2 Jones.
Beau Bryans' solo home run made it 7-2 Bobcats in the top of the fifth.
But the Bears would come clawing back in the bottom half, plating four runs on back-to-back RBI-singles and a two-run Thomas Marsala double to make it 7-6.
Bryans' RBI-single in the sixth provided a big insurance run, scoring
Peyton Bell after a leadoff single.
Duncan went 4.0 innings allowing four hits, one earned run and struck out six to get the win.
Luke Lycette picked up a second save in a shutout seventh inning.
Jones 10, Baton Rouge 7
Jones exploded for eight runs in the sixth to rally from a 3-0 deficit and held off a two-run Bear rally in the ninth to pick up a third straight sweep.
An RBI-double and two-run home run from Travis Webb gave Baton Rouge a 3-0 lead after two.
TJ Thomas Jr. was cruising on the mound for BRCC through five until three straight Bobcat hits to start the sixth swung the momentum in the Bobcats' favor.
Tristan Pearson's single started the eight-run inning that was headlined by a two-run Carley double. Jones also drew a bases-loaded walk and hit-by-pitch to score two more.
Brice Deaton was touched for five runs on five hits in 5.2 innings but earned the win.
Francisco Elvira tossed the final 3.1 to earn the save.
Jones scattered 10 hits in both games. Carley had three hits in the finale.
