CLARKSDALE – Jones shook off a slow, first quarter start to rout Coahoma Monday, 68-41, at The Pinnacle.
The Bobcats won their 13th straight game to improve to 19-3 and can clinch a third straight MACCC championship with a win Thursday against East Central.
Sakyia White scored 25 and reigning MACCC Player of the Week
En'Dya Buford added 15 to lead Jones offensively.
Jones held Coahoma to 35 percent shooting and 0-of-16 from three point. The Bobcats shot 45 percent.
A 31-17 halftime lead grew to 53-33 after three quarters.
Nakyah Jones had six points and five boards off the bench,
Arianna Patton added five and
Ashanti Moore four points.
Jones is scheduled to host East Central Thursday, but weather could possibly move that matchup to Friday afternoon.
