SUMMIT – Trailing by six heading into the final quarter, Southwest outscored Jones 22-8 to pull away for a 65-45 win and hand the Bobcats a fifth straight loss.
Southwest snapped a 14-game losing streak to Jones to improve to 8-3. Jones dropped to 3-6.
The Bears led 13-11 after one and 29-23 at half.
Charity Hinton scored a dozen points in her Bobcat debut.
Aasia Wilson had 12 points, eight rebounds and five steals and
Khyla Ragins scored 11 points.
Jones shot a season-low 29 percent, including 5 of 24 from downtown. Southwest shot 43 percent and was just 3 of 22 from deep.
Michaela Payton led all Southwest scorers with 17 points while Kennedee Shelton tallied 16.
The Bobcats host unbeaten and No. 7 Pensacola State (13-0) on Sunday at 2 p.m.
