ELLISIVLLE – The No. 15 Jones College Bobcats crushed Holmes 9-0 here on a beautiful Friday afternoon at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
Jones improves to 6-0 and will host Coastal Alabama-South in a 1 p.m. Monday match. Holmes drops to 1-4 and will host Mississippi Gulf Coast on Tuesday.
Andrea Vlasceanu (Spain) and
Mia Höddinghaus (Germany) blanked Ava Peters and M.G. Gregg in No. 1 doubles, 8-0.
Allie Johnson (Hernando) and
Sophie Endt (Vancleave) downed Cayler Tiller and Raina Paige Davis in No. 2 doubles, 8-2.
Reagan Salter (Lewisburg) and
Madelyn James (Northeast Jones) shut out Allie Williamson and Macie Manasco in No. 3 doubles, 8-2.
Vlasceanu whipped Peters in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-1 and Johnson defeated Manasco in No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0. Endt downed Gregg in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-1 and
Michaela Anderson (Tupelo) beat Tiller in No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-3. Salter blanked Williamson in No. 5 singles, 6-0,6-0 and James downed Davis in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
