ELLISVILLE – The Jones College Bobcats ran their record to 12-0 with another victory here Monday afternoon at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
Jones blanked Meridian 9-0, winning its 41st consecutive match dating back to 2019. It was the eighth 9-0 decision for the Jones' team this season.
The Bobcats, 10-0 in the MACCC, will play their final match before spring break when they host East Central at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will air on JCJC.TV.
Meridian, 6-4, meets Eastern Florida State College on March 19 in Pensacola, Florida.
In No. 1 singles,
Andrea Vlasceanu (Spain) whipped Isabella Warham in No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
Mia Höddinghaus (Germany) beat Harper Bryan in No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-3.
Addy Seward (Richland) blanked Britney Murphree in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0. In No. 4 singles,
Judith Mills (South Pontotoc) downed Ralie Boles, 6-1, 6-1.
Ally Brooke Chism (Pontotoc) defeated Tessa Ward in No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-4.
Allie Johnson (Hernando) downed Kolbie Holifield in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Vlasceanu and Höddinghaus whipped Bryan and Ward in No. 1 doubles, 8-1. Mills and Chism downed Warham in No. 2 doubles, 8-3. Seward and Johnson shut out Murphree and Boles in No. 3 doubles, 8-0.
