MCCOMB – Jones College dominated Southwest 9-0 here Friday afternoon at Fernwood Country Club.
It was Jones' sixth 9-0 victory of the year.
The Bobcat netters are now 10-0 overall, 9-0 in the MACCC. Jones will face Central Alabama at 3 p.m. on Saturday at East Central Community College in Decatur. Jones will return home for a 2 p.m. match on Monday vs. Meridian.
In No. 1 doubles,
Judith Mills (South Pontotoc) and
Ally Brooke Chism (Pontotoc) whipped Madison Morgan and Lauren McDaniel, 8-1.
Addy Seward (Richland) and
Allie Johnson (Hernando) defeated Savannah Frith and Ryle Garris in No. 2 doubles, 8-1.
Stori Endt (Vancleave) and
Kamryn Rodriguez (Newton County) blanked Molly Stringer and Anna Turner in No. 3 doubles, 8-0.
Seward defeated Morgan in No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0. Mills blanked McDaniel in No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Chism shut out Frith in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Johnson whipped Garris in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-1. Rodriguez beat Stringer in No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Endt downed Turner in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Southwest, 0-8, hosts Co-Lin on March 16.
