Olivia Knight went for a career-high 30 points and
Sakyia White posted an 18-point, 17-rebound double-double as No. 3 Jones held off a last quarter push by Hillsborough, 83-78.
Jones improved to 6-0 on the young season while Hillsborough fell to 5-7.
The Bobcats led 37-25 at the break, but had to hold off a 38-point night from Darria Whitley and 30-point fourth quarter for the Hawks to hang on for the win.
Hillsborough and Jones battled back-and-forth from the 3-point line all night, with the Bobcats hitting 10 treys and the Hawks a dozen.
Knight drilled eight triples on the way to a career-high 30 points and Whitley had nine triples.
Mackenzie Thomas had 12 points and eight rebounds and
Nakyah Jones had 11 points and seven boards.
Jones shot 44 percent against 35 percent for the Hawks.
The Bobcats close out the Panhandle Classic at 5 p.m. against unbeaten and tournament host Chipola on Saturday.
