JACKSON – Fourteen Jones College Bobcats have been named All-MACCC in a vote by the league's head football coaches.
Nine Bobcats were named First Team All-MACCC with two of those players receiving MVP status. Head coach
Steve Buckley was voted MACCC South Division Coach of the Year.

Zach Causey was named Most Valuable Defensive Lineman.

Yates, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound sophomore from Crystal Springs, anchored a line that helped the offense average 31.5 points per game.
Causey, a 6-foot-1, 290-pound sophomore from Madison Central, had 31 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and one forced fumble. He helped the Bobcat defense allow only 16.3 points per game.
La'Damian Webb, a 5-foot-8, 210-pound sophomore from Opelika, Alabama, rushed for a nation's best 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns on 220 carries. He had nine games of over 100 rushing yards, including a career-high 217 yards vs. Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Ruffin, a 6-foot-2, 260-pound sophomore from Oak Grove, had three catches for 23 yards and a touchdown. His blocking helped the Bobcats average 220.6 yards per game on the ground.
Tolbert, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound sophomore from Water Valley, had 27 catches for 538 yards and seven touchdowns.
McGill, a 6-foot-2, 300-pound freshman from Taylorsville, helped the Bobcats average 400.5 yards per game on offense.
Dixon, a 6-foot, 220-pound sophomore from Yazoo County, had 58 tackles, seven tackles for loss, two and a half sacks, two quarterback hurries and one interception, which he returned 65 yards for a touchdown vs. East Central.
Lardarius Webb Jr., a 5-foot-10, 175-pound freshman from Jackson Academy, had 29 tackles, three tackles for loss, three interceptions and nine pass breakups.
Markel McLaurin, a 5-foot-10, 195-pound sophomore from Collins, had 23 total stops, three tackles for loss, four pass interceptions, one quarterback hurry, one pass breakup and three blocked kicks.
Hawkins, a 6-foot, 180-pound sophomore from Bastrop, Louisiana, completed 123-of-236 passes for 1,723 yards, 14 touchdowns and four interceptions. He had a season-high 279 yards through the air vs. Copiah-Lincoln.
Davis, a 6-foot-1, 285-pound sophomore from Crystal Springs, helped the Bobcats pick up 4,006 yards of offense in 10 games.
Lardarius Webb Jr., returned 17 punts for 205 yards (12.1 average), including a 62-yard touchdown vs. Northeast. He also had a 94-yard interception return vs. Co-Lin.
Lewis, a 6-foot-2,295-pound freshman from Prattville, Alabama, had 34 stops, two and a half tackles for loss, two sacks and one quarterback hurry.
Horton, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound freshman from Madison-Ridgeland Academy, led the team in tackles with 65. He had a season-high 13 stops vs. Hinds.
Hershey McLaurin, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound freshman from Collins, had 36 tackles and five interceptions, which was second in the MACCC and tied for fourth in the nation.
In addition to all-conference honors, La'Damian, Ruffin, M. McLaurin, Yates, Causey, and McGill were each named to the NJCAA All-Region 23 Team. They will all be in the mix for NJCAA All-American honors which will be announced in December.
These players helped the Bobcats to an 8-2 record, an MACCC South Division championship and a No. 9 ranking in the latest NJCAA poll.
