DECATUR – Playing on Monday-Tuesday during the Thanksgiving break at the East Central Classic, Jones knocked off Faith Prep, 95-61, and Bevill State, 80-73, to stay perfect on the year at 7-0.
In Monday's win over Faith Prep,
SharDarrion Allen had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead all scorers and 10 different Bobcats scored.
Tradavis Thompson,
Kenneth Rogers and
John Rawls added 11 points apiece.
JC shot 49 percent from the floor, pulled down 29 offensive rebounds and finished with 24 assists.
The Bobcats rallied from a halftime deficit on Tuesday to earn a hard-fought seven-point win over Bevill State, led once again by a huge afternoon by Allen.
Allen recorded his second straight double-double with 26 points and 16 rebounds on an off shooting night for JC. Rogers added 17 points off five 3-pointers and Thompson added a season-high 16. Casey Smith dished out a season-high 11 assists.
JC shot 39 percent from the floor and was 7-of-25 from downtown.
The Bobcats will travel to Hattiesburg on Monday, Dec. 2 for a 7 p.m. tipoff against William Carey JV.
