BOSSIER CITY, La. – Paced by a season-high 21 points and eight boards from
SharDarrion Allen, Jones pulled away for a 70-60 win at Bossier Parish on Saturday at Billy Montgomery Gym to remain unbeaten on the year.
Jones improved to 4-0 while BPCC fell to 3-2.
Trailing by as many as seven midway through the first half, the Bobcats closed the first period on an 18-8 run to take a 33-30 lead at the break.
JC took its largest lead, 52-40, with just under 14 minutes to play.
The Bobcat defense stymied the Cavaliers in the second half, forcing 10 turnovers and holding them to just 34 percent shooting against 43 percent for JC.
Allen scored 13 of his team-high 21 in the second period and finished 8-of-9 from the floor.
Tradavis Thompson had 12 points and
Sai Fisher added 10 points and six boards off the bench.
Diamante Brown led BPCC with 26 points and 16 boards.
Jones will return home on Thursday at 6 p.m. to host Taylor Made Prep.
