MONROEVILLE, Ala. – The 12th-ranked Jones College Lady Bobcats had little trouble with Coastal Alabama-North here Thursday night at the Cooper Center.
Jones led from the start and cruised to a 105-51 victory over the Eagles.
Guard
Keyara Jones (Heidelberg) had 24 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor to pace Jones. Guard
Jordan Clark (South Jones) had 22 points and four steals and guard
Chyna Allen (Harrison Central) had 14 points and five rebounds.
Forward
LaMiracle Sims (Moss Point) added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Guard
Destiny Haymer (Holmes County Central) had nine points and 10 assists and forward
Ebony Gayden (McComb) had eight points and 10 boards.
Jones shot 50 percent from 3-point range, making 9-of-18 attempts, and 59 percent total for the game. The Eagles were held to 28 percent shooting and turned it over 40 times.
The Lady Bobcats led 33-17 after the first quarter and 57-21 at halftime, holding Coastal to just four points in the second quarter.
