BOSSIER CITY, Louisiana –
LaMiracle Sims (Moss Point) scored 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds to help No. 11 Jones College to an 82-74 victory over Bossier Parish Community College (Louisiana) here Wednesday evening.
Destiny Haymer (Holmes County Central) and
Breonca Ducksworth (West Jones) had 13 points each with
Keyara Jones (Heidelberg) scoring 12 and
Maya Jones (Northwest Rankin) adding 10.
Ty Hawkins (Brentwood, New York) had eight points,
Endia Holliday (South Jones) added four,
Jatyjia Jones (Ingomar) and
Vilma Covane (Mozambique) had three points each and
Lekera Hughes (Oak Grove) added two.
Jones led 20-19 after the first quarter, 38-36 at halftime and 55-50 after three quarters.
The Lady Bobcats, 8-1, will host No. 4 Chipola College (Florida) at 2 p.m. Friday at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.
BPCC, 7-8, goes to Jacksonville College (Texas) on Tuesday.
