SUMMIT – The Jones College Bobcats used an 11-1 run to start overtime and went on to defeat Southwest Mississippi Community, 86-78, here Tuesday night at Horace Holmes Gymnasium.
It was the second straight overtime win for Jones. Last week, the Bobcats downed East Central 71-69 in overtime. Jones is now 10-4 overall and 4-1 in the division.

Alexander's 3-point play to start overtime gave Jones the lead for good at 71-68.
After a Southwest free throw,

The Bobcats had ball possession after a timeout with 27.1 seconds to play, but turned the ball over. Southwest would throw the ball way with 8.6 seconds remaining.
Williams would take a contested 3-pointer at the buzzer, but it was no good to force the extra period.
In the first half, the Bears took a 26-19 lead with 6:07 on the clock when Robert Kendrick scored. But Jones roared back and went up 37-28 with 2:05 showing on an Edwards' basket.
