ELLISVILLE – The Jones College Bobcats reamed, steamed and dry cleaned the William Carey University Junior Varsity, 108-38, here Thursday night at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.
Jones overwhelmed the Crusaders from the start.
The Bobcats scored the first 11 points of the game and would lead 60-18 at halftime. The largest lead of the game was the final score.
Jones forced 43 WCU turnovers – 28 in the first half.
Six Bobcats were in double figures with Winceton Edwards (Oak Grove) leading the way with 18 points. Shardarrion Allen (Raymond) scored 14, Galen Alexander (Breaux Bridge, Louisiana) had 12, Casey Smith Jr. (Columbus) had 11 and Sayveon Bumpers (Quitman) and Tirus Smith (Petal) added 10 each. 
Bumpers had eight rebounds and Allen had six. Casey Smith Jr. had four assists. 
The Bobcats were 39-of-76 from the field (9-of-25 from 3-point range) for 51 percent. Jones was 21-of-34 from the free throw line.
William Carey was 12-of-47 from the floor (3-of-17 from 3-point range) for 26 percent. The Crusaders were 11-of-16 from the free throw line.
Jones outrebounded the Crusaders, 42-31. The Bobcats had 20 assists compared to five for WCU.
The Bobcats, 4-1, visit Coastal Alabama-North in Monroeville, Alabama, on Nov. 27.
Jason Santiago led William Carey with eight points.
WCU, 0-4, goes to Hinds on Nov. 26.
