No. 6 Lady Bobcats crush Pearl River, 92-61

ELLISVILLE – The No. 6 Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats had little trouble with Pearl River Community College here Saturday afternoon at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.
Alexis Tolefree (Conway, Arkansas) scored 26 points to spark JCJC to a 92-61 victory over the Lady Wildcats.
Tolefree's basket with 4:19 showing gave JCJC a 16-3 lead in the opening quarter. The Lady Bobcats were up 23-13 after the first quarter.
Kira Bonner's (Quitman) two free throws put Jones up 34-18 with 3:25 left in the first half. Maya Jones (Northwest Rankin) got a steal and layup with 25 seconds to play and Tolefree's steal, layup and free throw with 16.2 seconds to play put JCJC up 44-25 at the half.
Camryn London (Birmingham, Alabama) hit back-to-back 3-pointers to put Jones up 69-39 with 56 seconds left in the third quarter. JCJC led 69-44 going into the fourth quarter.
JCJC's longest lead of the game came with 52 seconds left when Madison Bishop (Collegiate Christian) hit a 3-pointer to make it 92-57.
After Tolefree, the Lady Bobcats got 15 points from Nique Cherry (Heidelberg), 14 from Chrystal Ezechukwu (Stone Mountain, Georgia) and 12 from London. Ezechukwu got a 'double double' by grabbing 13 rebounds and Cherry had 9 boards. K.K. Tassin (Terry) had 8 assists and Breonca Ducksworth (West Jones) and ZaKyia Weathesby (Collins) each had 4 assists. Tolefree had 5 assists.
The Lady Bobcats were 31-of-69 from the floor (8-of-28 from 3-point range) for 45 percent. The Lady Bobcats 22-of-32 from the free throw line.
JCJC is now 11-2 overall and 4-0 in the MACJC South Division.
Pearl  River, 7-4 overall and 1-3 in the division, got 16 points from Charisma Walker and 12 from Gabby Brown.
The Lady Wildcats were only 20-of-69 from the floor (7-of-24 from 3-point range) for 29 percent. PRCC was 14-of-23 from the free throw line.
JCJC outrebounded PRCC, 55-32.
The Lady Bobcats travel to Mississippi Gulf Coast for a 5:30 p.m. game on Monday. The contest will air on www.mgcccbulldogs.com.
Pearl River visits East Central on Monday.
