Myyah West (Prentiss) and
Nique Cherry (Heidelberg) each recorded 'double-doubles' as the Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats defeated Coahoma 81-55 here Thursday night at The Pinnacle.
West had 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Cherry had 15 points and 17 rebounds.
Zan Ratcliffe (West Jones) had 12 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and
Juliet Esadah (Warri, Nigeria) had 10 points and 4 rebounds.
Tatyana Lofton (Madison-Ridgeland Academy) had 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists.
JCJC led 19-15 after the first quarter and 37-26 at halftime.
The Lady Bobcats improve to 5-0, while Coahoma falls to 1-7 on the season.
JCJC opens MACJC South Division play at home at 5:30 p.m. on Monday in A.B. Howard Gymnasium vs. Copiah-Lincoln.
Coahoma hosts Northeast on Monday.
