CLARKSDALE – Jones County Junior College placed four players in double figures en route to a 96-70 victory over Coahoma here Thursday night at The Pinnacle.
David Davis (Purvis) led the Bobcats with 20 points, while
Bruce Stevens (Bay Springs) added 19,
Rickey Holden (Laurel) had 17 and
Leito Holloway (Charlotte, North Carolina) had 10. Holden had 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Shannon Bailey had 14 and Malik Bailey added 13 for Coahoma.
JCJC led 41-28 at halftime and pulled away for the win.
The Bobcats, 6-0, begin MACJC South Division play with a 7:30 p.m. home game on Monday in A.B. Howard Gymnasium vs. Copiah-Lincoln.
Coahoma, 2-7, hosts Northeast on Monday.
