ELLISVILLE – The Jones County Junior College Bobcats posted a 79-68 victory over the William Carey University Junior Varsity here Thursday night at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.
The Bobcats remained unbeaten at 4-0 with the win.
Jones was up 23-17 midway through the first half and only led 33-27 at halftime. The Bobcats scored the first eight points of the second half to go up 41-27 to take control.
Bryce Jones led JCJC with 18 points, while
Christopher White and
Bryce Perry had 16 each. Perry connected on three 3-pointers.
Zeb Rice had 12 points – all on 3-point shots – and
Marquis Cunningham added 11.
Cordaryl Weathersby led the Crusaders, 1-5, with 17 points. Macauley Beasley added 15 and Trevon Cole had 10.
JCJC travels to Alabama Southern for a 7:30 p.m. game on Monday.
The William Carey JV team travels to East Mississippi on Dec. 10.
