Juan Pinilla returns for a second season as a volunteer assistant with the JC men's and women's tennis programs.
The Bogota, Colombia native played at Copiah-Lincoln and then finished up his career at William Carey where he was a SSAC Conference Champion in 2019.
In his first season working with the Bobcats, both teams captured MACCC and NJCAA Region 23 Championships and finished in the Top 12 at the national tournament.
Pinilla was recognized as the ITA Region III Men's Assistant Coach of the Year. Â
JP was a five-time All-Academic Team selection and also showered with accolades on the court.
Among his many accomplishments, JP was an all-conference player, region champion, ITA Oracle JUCO National Champion in the backdraw in 2017 and ITA Southern Region men's doubles champion and singles runner-up.
JP is an avid golfer and enjoys playing pickleball.
