High School: Played for head coach Trey Sutton...batted .296 with 59 hits, four home runs and 43 RBIs during his career with the Mustangs...led West Jones to its first ever MHSAA 5A baseball championship in 2019...helped the Mustangs to a 79-23 record, three Region 5-5A titles and two South State appearances in four seasons.

Personal: Son of Sharina and Allen Bassett...siblings Corey (25), Jaden (21) and Allison (14)...coaching licensure major...loves playing basketball...favorite team is the Atlanta Braves.
