Sam Wiseman

Tennessee native Sam Wiseman enters his third season as an assistant coach with the Bobcats.

Wiseman is involved in team scouting, recruiting, digital media and other everyday duties in the men's basketball offices.

The Bobcats were third in the NJCAA in free throws made per game (20.8), eighth in attempts (28.4) and 15th in defensive rebounds (29.1) last season.

Jones won a school-record 30 games in his debut season on the bench along with conference, region and district championships. Eight players signed with four-year programs, including the entire starting five to Division I programs. Last season Jones won the region for a third straight season and had five more players move on.

Wiseman came to Jones from Rhodes College in Memphis where he spent the 2023-24 season on staff coordinating all travel, assisting with in-game coaching, workouts and practices. Wiseman also played one season for the Lynx in 2019-20 before suffering a career-ending injury.

Prior to coaching, Wiseman interned at Creative Arts Agency working with data and analytics.

He was a first team all-district selection and Tennessee All-Star out of Arlington High School and later played AAU ball for M33M/Hoop City BC for five years alongside future NBA players James Wiseman, Trendon Watford and Kira Lewis.

Wiseman graduated from the University of Tennessee in May 2023 with a degree in sports management.
