Tara Weisshaar is the Recruiting Coordinator and Director of Football Operations at Jones County Junior College.
Weisshaar began her collegiate football career in the spring of 2006 as a student assistant coach at Bethany College (Lindsborg, Kansas) where she assisted in everything from coaching linebackers to equipment to recruiting to strength and conditioning.
After graduating from Bethany with a Bachelor of Arts degree (2008), Weisshaar took a position as a video intern at the University of Northern Colorado. This quickly evolved into a Video Coordinator role which she spent six seasons (08-13) with the Bears in, two of those she doubled as the Assistant Director of Operations. In addition to UNC, Tara was an intern for the Colorado Ice (IFL) for 3 seasons (11-13) where she aided in game day operations and was the team statistician.
For the 2013 AFC Championship season, Weisshaar was a training camp Video Intern for the Denver Broncos.
In the spring 2014, Tara joined the University of Southern Mississippi football staff as the Video Coordinator where she was responsible for all team video needs. Weisshaar spent one year in this role.
Weisshaar left the football scene for a brief stint as an Equipment Manager for the UFC (professional MMA) in 2015 before returning to Jones in her current role. She earned a dual Masters of Science in Sports Management and Sports Coaching from the United States Sports Academy, Daphne, Alabama, in 2013.
