Savannah French is in her first year as the Director of Football Operations/Recruiting Cooridinator at Jones County Junior college.
After working with Coach Buckley at Southern Miss, Coach Buckley reached out to Savannah to become the new Director of Football Operations/Recruiting Coordinator in June 2017.
French oversees the day-to day operations of the JCJC football office, which includes administrative duties with player development, recruiting, facility and event management, team travel and other areas. On the recruiting end, she manages both incoming high school recruits as well as outgoing (getting our players to the next level). She serves as a recruiting liaison between Division I and II coaches and our players.
She comes to JCJC after serving three years in the Southeastern Conference. She was at Ole Miss in recruiting in 2016 and prior to that, French worked at Louisiana State University for two years as the assistant to head coach Les Miles as his Football Operations Assistant in 2014-15.
Before that, she worked at Southern Miss in recruiting for football in 2010-13 with JCJC head coach Steve Buckley and Bobcat assistant coaches John Carr, Grant Garner and Javier Gonzalez.
French is a 2016 graduate of LSU where she received a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Management
She is a 2014 graduate of Southern Miss where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Minor in Sports Broadcast Journalism. She studied Sports Globalization for a summer in London, England, during the 2012 Summer Olympics.
French is a 2010 graduate of Long Beach High School.
She is a 2010 Hall of Fame inductee, played softball at LBHS and participated in the 2010 Mississippi North/South All-Star Game and was captain of the 2009 LBHS state championship cheerleading team.
