Dwike Wilson

Dwike Wilson enters his third year as an assistant coach at Jones County Junior College.
He will be the assistant head coach, defensive coordinator and linebackers this season. In his previous two years at Jones, he has been defensive coordinator and secondary coach.
Prior to joining the Bobcats, Wilson spent the previous seven years at Hinds Community College, a cornerback coach for one season, defensive coordinator for three, and spent the past three years as the wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator.
In 2016, Wilson helped with the development of NJCAA Division I All-American Javon Kinlaw. Kinlaw signed with the University of South Carolina after his freshman year at JCJC.
In his defensive coordinator role at Hinds, Wilson developed such standouts as defensive linemen Leon Mackey ('10) and Dontrill Hyman ('12). Mackey was named to the 2009 All-Region team and signed with Texas Tech University, and Hyman was named to the 2011 NCJAA  All-American team as a freshman in 2011 after leading the state with 14 sacks. Wilson also oversaw a defense that led the state in interceptions in 2011 with 23, the leader being Adonis Armstrong, who accounted for 10 of those himself, two returned for touchdowns; he later signed with East Carolina University. Another contributor to this success was freshman linebacker, Mitchell Hoskins, who finished second in the state in solo tackles with 73 and also collected 22 assists.
Wilson’s other coaching experience includes three seasons as the recruiting coordinator and quarterbacks coach at North Carolina A&T University, one season as recruiting coordinator and defensive backs coach for Murray State University, four years as a coach at Itawamba Community College, and two years as a student assistant at Ole Miss.
Wilson, a valuable member of the Hinds Eagles 1997 state championship team, played linebacker before serving as a student assistant coach in 1998 and 1999. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mississippi; he and his wife Anntwan, are the proud parents of two sons.
