Taylorsville native Dominique Sullivan enters his first season as quarterbacks coach on Lytrel Pollard's staff.
Sullivan comes over to Ellisville after 10 seasons at Southwest Mississippi Community College.Â
Sullivan spent the last two seasons as Southwest's offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach after being elevated from wide receivers. He was also the Bears' recruiting coordinator.
Southwest averaged 24.2 points-per-game last year and 26.2 the year prior, up from 18.6 ppg prior to his promotion. The Bears were third in the MACCC in passing yards in both 2023 and 2024.
Sullivan joined Southwest as a volunteer coach in 2015 after spending one year as wide receivers coach at Long Beach High School.
Sullivan was a standout athlete at Taylorsville High School in football, basketball and baseball.
Playing for Bud Blackledge on the gridiron, Sullivan was named the 2010 MHSAA 2A Offensive Player of the Year as a senior after throwing for 1,837 yards and 24 touchdowns to go along with 723 rushing yards and 12 TDs.Â
Rated as the No. 40 pro-style QB nationally by Rivals.com and No. 23 overall in Mississippi, Sullivan grabbed Second Team All-State honors by The Clarion-Ledger, was a Biloxi Sun-Herald Top 30 selection, WDAM All-Area, District 7-2A Most Valuable Player and participated in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game.
Sullivan went on to play four seasons at Southern Miss, converting from quarterback to wide receiver as a freshman.
He totaled 77 catches for 1,190 yards and eight touchdowns, including a 2011 C-USA Championship Game record 69-yard touchdown grab over Houston and five catches for 75 yards in the Golden Eagles' 2011 Sheraton Hawaii Bowl win over Nevada.
Sullivan graduated from USM in 2014 with a bachelor's in interdisciplinary studies.
