DJ Allred enters his first year as Jones' Director of Baseball Operations.
The Laurel native was the Bobcats' manager during the 2022 and 2023 seasons before going on to serve as a manager for the Mississippi State men's basketball program during the 2023-24 season and Southern Miss men's program in 2024-25.
Allred got his associate degree from Jones in 2023 and bachelor of liberal arts with a minor in business administration from USM in 2025.
The Northeast Jones High School graduate played soccer for the Tigers under Matt Reid where he won Most Improved Player his sophomore year and scored the Goal of the Year as a senior when he broke a tie to beat rival West Jones.
Allred is an avid sport watcher, video gamer and a rapper that goes by Redhotdeej. His favorite teams are the Las Vegas Raiders, St. Louis Cardinals and New Orleans Pelicans.Â
He has four siblings, Jordan, Britley, Amory and Eli.
