Biography

Previous School: Appeared in six games as a true freshman at Hinds before a season-ending injury...was 0-2 with 21 strikeouts in 16.2 innings of work...had a season-high eight strikeouts at Holmes (3/12).

High School: Played for head coach Justin Smith at Hartfield Academy...Hawks were 28-11 and advanced to the second round of the playoffs his senior year...hit. 347 with six doubles, three home runs, 34 walks, 25 RBIs and 24 runs scored...2-3 on the mound with a 3.67 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 42 IP...also played football for the Hawks.

Personal: Son of Hamp and Kristina Gaston...has a younger sister, Lily (18)...studying kinesiology...born April 16, 2005.
