High School: Played for head coach Chris McCardle at Oak Grove...Warriors were 25-7 and advanced to the third round of the MHSAA 7A State playoffs...hit .283 with five doubles, a triple, home run, 10 stolen bases, 19 RBIs and 25 runs scored as a senior to earn all-district and all-star selections...played in the PBR Future Games...Rising Leadership Scholarship winner.

Personal: Son of Brad and Kim Wheat...dad played baseball at PRCC, mom was on Jones' first-ever softball team...likes to fish, hunt, boat, play ping pong and pool...general studies major...born March 1, 2007.
