Blake Beck

Blake Beck

Blake Beck, after three years at Auburn, enters his second season at Jones College as the Bobcats' pitching coach.

"Blake's experience working under some of the best coaches in the country and in one of the top programs in the SEC will impact our players in a variety of ways," head coach Chris Kirtland said. "His knowledge of pitching and ability to develop arms is exciting. His ability to integrate technology and new-age philosophies to improve our performance will take us to another level. Adding a coach of this caliber to our staff will be a game-changer and we are lucky to have him."

Beck was part of the Tigers' College World Series appearance in 2019, Auburn's first since 1997.

The Hamilton, Ala., native is familiar with junior college athletics. He pitched at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa in 2010-11.

Following his playing career, he spent two seasons as the video coordinator at Troy from 2013-14, where in addition to his video responsibilities, he supervised team managers and led field maintenance operations. He received his bachelor's degree from there in 2014.

Beck then served as video coordinator under head coach John Cohen at Mississippi State in 2014-15 and received his master's degree from MSU in 2016.

After serving as a volunteer assistant at Troy in 2016, he went to Auburn to work for head coach Butch Thompson as video coordinator in 2017 and served three years with the Tigers.

Beck is married to the former Brooke Davis and the couple have a two-year old, Addie Blake. They will celebrate their four-year wedding anniversary in December 2020.
