High School: Played for coach Caleb Upton at Brookhaven Academy...was batting .321 as a senior, and on the hill, had recorded 15 strikeouts in 10 innings...The Daily Leader All-Area Team and MAIS All-State selection...won state championships as a sophomore and a junior...all-district as a freshman, sophomore and junior...hit .380 as a junior and .417 as a sophomore with one home run and 11 RBIs.
