TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – No. 4 Jones College swept a doubleheader at Shelton State Wednesday, 8-3 and 6-0, in the first-ever games played at the Lady Bucs Softball Complex.
Jones moved to 12-2 and closed out a three-game season sweep of Shelton State, who fell to 5-5.
The Bobcats travel to Oxford, Alabama, and Choccolocco Park for five games at the JUCO Extravaganza Feb. 19-21.

Mary Kimble Price,
Mabry Eason and
Addy Shorter all homered and
Morgan Landry tossed six strong for a game one win.
Jones jumped out 3-0 in the top of the first after a
Chloe Jenkins RBI-double and Price's two-run homer.
The lead stretched to 6-1 in the third after a sac fly from
Mabry Eason and an RBI-single from
Morgan Landry and RBI-triple from
Laney Little.
Eason hit a solo homer in the fifth and Shorter hit her solo shot in the seventh to make the final 8-3.
Landry got the win in the circle, scattering five hits and three runs over six innings.
Abigail Lindsey tossed a scoreless bottom of the seventh.

Breelyn Cain tossed a complete-game, two-hit shutout with four walks and three strikeouts to close out the sweep.
Three straight RBI-singles in the third broke open a scoreless game, from
Logan Mansur, Jenkins and Price, and Jones took a 3-0 lead.
Little hit a two-run homer in the fourth and Jenkins and RBI-triple in the seventh.
Jones out-hit Shelton State 11-2, with three Bobcats grabbing multiple hits.
