NEW ALBANY – Thirteenth-rated Jones College posted a pair of shutouts over the weekend.
 
The Bobcats began MACCC play with a 9-0 decision over No. 17 Northwest on Friday and followed that up with a 7-0 win over Rust College on Saturday.
 
Jones (4-0) returns home for a conference match on Tuesday at 2 p.m. versus Southwest.

The Bobcats rolled to three victories in doubles vs. the Rangers.
 
Tom Garrett (Australia) and Juan Francisco Pereyra (Argentina) defeated Luca Morris and Carlos Diaz Sanchez, 8-4, in No. 1 doubles. Ridge Jones (Northeast Jones) and Felipe Morales (Ecuador) downed Holden Cooke and Jordan Mitchell in No. 2 doubles, 8-3. Ryan Roth (Resurrection Catholic) and Luke Westmoreland (Grenada) won No. 3 doubles over Brady Holliman and Miguel Lazaga Robayna, 8-3.
 
Garrett whipped Sanchez in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-2 and Pereyra beat Morris in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Morales downed Robayna in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-1 and Jones beat Cooke in No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-2. Westmoreland defeated Mitchell in No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-2 and Roth rallied to beat Holliman in No. 6 singles, 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-3).

The Bobcats won the doubles point with three wins.
 
Garrett and Pereyra beat Jerry Rido Aldo Noudogbessi and Moubarak Clemenceau Ali-Kparah in No. 1 doubles, 6-0. Jones and Morales blanked Joshua Johnson and Jean-Jacques Agbo in No. 2 doubles, 6-0. Roth and Westmoreland whipped Zachary Auguste and Sebastian Pena Rodriguez in No. 3 doubles, 6-1. 
 
Morales shut out Agbo in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and Jones downed Ali-Kparah in No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-1. Westmoreland defeated Noudogbessi in No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-0 and Roth whipped Auguste in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-4. Crews Cockrell (West Jones) beat Johnson in No. 5 singles, 6-0, 2-6, 1-0 (10-4) and Nicholas Marengo (Forrest County AHS) defeated Pena Rodriguez in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 3-6, 6-1.
