MACCC win streak up to 19

GOODMAN – In a matchup between the top two teams in the MACCC Thursday night at Frank Branch Coliseum, it was the visiting and 15th-ranked Bobcats who flexed their muscles late to come away with a 79-68 win to remain unbeaten in league play.

Jones improved to 17-5, 6-0 in the conference and sits two games up. Holmes fell to 14-4, 3-2.

Jones has won 19 straight MACCC contests.

The Bobcats trailed 38-35 in a back-and-forth first half but outscored the Bulldogs by 14 out of intermission.

The lead was six with under two minutes to play before a late spurt and technical by Holmes pushed the final tally to 11.

Dylan Rowe netted a career-high 31 points on 11-of-17 shooting and added five rebounds and three assists. Recent Louisiana Tech commit Jay Tyler had 18 and Wesley Lindsey 13 points. Keron Jackson had two points and game-high 12 rebounds.
