ENTERPRISE, Ala. – Jones grabbed two good road wins at the Enterprise Recreation Center on Saturday, defeating Santa Fe College 3-2 and No. 16 Lurleen B. Wallace 3-1.
Jones improved to 5-0 on the year. Santa Fe is now 6-4, LBW is 7-3.
Against the Saints in the opening match of the day, the Bobcats fought out a 15-12 fifth-set win to get the victory.
Jones hit .208 against .159 for Santa Fe and had a slim 55-53 kills advantage.
Harmony Jackson had a team-high 15 kills,
Izzi Barnes 13 and
Chelsea Daffin 10.
Claire Wicker had 24 assists and
Mamie Fromdahl 19.
Both
Hailey Duque and Wicker had 11 digs each.
Jones held 16th-ranked LBW to a .148 hitting percentage and forced 19 errors in an upset win.
Jackson had 19 kills,
Jensi Doise 11 and Daffin 10. Daffin added a team-high 18 digs,
Sara Akins 12 and
Olivia Guth 10.
The Bobcats return to MACCC play on Monday, Sept. 8 hosting Northeast at 5 p.m.
