MERIDIAN – In four all-time meetings against Meridian, Jones has yet to drop a set.

The Bobcats defeated Meridian 3-0 Wednesday night at Graham Gymnasium to improve to 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the MACCC. Meridian dropped to 2-12, 0-6. 

Jones hit a match-high .462 in a 25-17 opening set win, committing just two errors.

Fourteen different Bobcats saw the floor in a balanced effort and four had at least six kills.

Sara Akins had eight digs, Hailey Duque seven and Chelsea Daffin seven. Madolyn Mills had four of Jones' 10 aces.

The Bobcats have a quick turnaround as they head to Bishop State on Thursday for a 5 p.m. first serve.
